Preventive health care is one of the best ways to protect your pets against diseases and conditions that are the results of aging. At Atlantic Animal Clinic, we take measures to keep your pet healthy and strong for years to come.

Vaccinations

In conjunction with wellness exams, it is important that your pet receives comprehensive vaccinations. Vaccinations can help prevent diseases and other illnesses.

Heartworms

Both cats and dogs are at risk for the spread of heartworms. Heartworms are parasites that are spread by the bite of an infected mosquito.

Fleas and Ticks

Testing

During wellness appointments, we also test a sample of your pet's feces. The sample will be processed and evaluated for the presence of parasite egg and other foreign matter.

Wellness Exams

Wellness exams are an important part of care for pets of all ages. Younger pets will need to be seen on a monthly basis, while adult pets only need to be seen annually. Middle aged and older pets will need to be seen on a semi-annual basis to ensure that they are still healthy.
